Advantages of Dickson Home
Why use Dickson?
You’re making a big investment in your home and need to know what condition it’s in. Florida’s climate and rainfall are important factors that affect its condition whether you’re buying an existing home or building new and with so many homes in our area being built in such a short time, mistakes do happen. You don’t want to risk a major investment to save a few dollars on a home inspection. The home inspection industry isn’t regulated in Florida so anyone can become a home inspector, regardless of qualifications. Not only are we general contractors, but we’re independent of any realtors or builders, which means we are working for you, the buyer, to make sure your investment is protected and you know exactly the condition of your property.
Why General Contractors (GC)?
We hold ourselves and the building industry to a higher standard by using only general contractors as lead inspectors. It’s important to have your inspection done by someone who knows how to build and the defects that are important or just cosmetic. Our inspectors then give written price estimates for any problems they find, which allows you as the buyer, to negotiate with the seller before you close on your property.
Inspection Crews
Every crew we have here at Dickson consists of at least two people. You can think of it as a checks and balances system. All inspections are conducted by a GC. One crew member walks the roof and crawls the attic to check for major roof, leak, mold, and other defects that may exist. The other crew member checks plumbing, AC, and other important features of your home to make sure it is thoroughly inspected.
